Khaligraph Releases Chocha Music Video
Khaligraph Jones has released a new song along with its music video. Dubbed “Chocha,” the song marks his first release of 2024 in what appears to be a great year for the Kenyan music scene.
Produced by seasoned collaborator and 2023 Unkut Hip-hop Awards Producer of the Year Vinc On The Beat, the song has a simple yet invoking instrumental similar to 2022’s “Minimal Pressure.” Khaligraph, known for his great flow and delivery, does not disappoint. The two have great chemistry and crafted a formula for a great song.
Khaligraph shared a sneak peek of the song on Instagram earlier this month. The Behind The Scenes video was posted with a caption,
“Tunaanza na za ground Kwanza alafu ndio tunapiga international Baadae, 2024 💯💯 chocha #respecttheogs“
He posted another preview with the snippet, further increasing anticipation of the song and video in an Instagram post on Tuesday (January 16) with a caption,
“Thursday Tuna Chochaa, Sauti ya Ground..respecttheogs”.

Controversial Lyrics
Continuing his trend of addressing sensitive issues as he did on Minimal Pressure, Khaligraph has made a few statements likely to elicit reactions from fans and Kenyans alike.
In the first verse, Khaligraph says:
Mlibanja sana hamtaki Uhuru, saa hii imebamba sana wapi nduru
Eh, hatuendi maandamano
Baba, into maintain kanyo kanyo
In the last verse, he takes a dig at bloggers and popular news and gossip platform Mpasho by saying,
Bloggers hawaverify story
To all the victims wako terrified sorry
Chocha imedo hii game ikae boring
Na nyi Mpasho bitch I hope you die slowly
