Njerae Unveils Surprise EP ‘Four Letter Word (Deluxe)’

Kenyan singer-songwriter, performing and record producer, Njerae, released a surprise EP on October 15th. Dubbed Four Letter Word (Deluxe), it features four new tracks:

“Gone” ft. Preston Pablo
“Colors” ft. Bensoul
“Decide (Remix)” ft. Hokima
“Fight For You (Remix)” ft. Kobby Worldwide

In the project, she embraces a fresh sound and a different artistic approach, tapping different artists to expand her soundscape.

Canadian pop artist Preston Pablo adds his Pop touch to “Gone”, Bensoul is recruited for the Afro-Pop cut “Colors,” while Njerae adopts Afro-House on “Decide (Remix)” and “Fight For You (Remix)”.

The deluxe feels like a fuller breath—it’s me expanding the world I built with the original project. It’s more confident, more intimate, and more playful. I wanted to show the different shades of love—not just the romantic kind, but the self-love, the surrender, the growth. The songs move through softness and strength, like a conversation between who I was when I started the project and who I’ve become now.

Songs such as “Colors” showcase Njerae’s more fun and outgoing side, and “Gone” reflects her soulful edge. “Decide (Remix) and Fight For You (Remix)” embody her bold move into electronic music.

American producer Hokima remixes “Decide,” evoking more emotion and adding energy to the original.

Production from Kobby Worldwide is a stark feature on “Gone”, “Colors”, and “Fight For You (Remix)”, showcasing the project’s authentic, grounded feel.

“More than anything, I wanted listeners to feel seen. To find a piece of themselves in the music, whether it’s in the vulnerability, the groove, or the healing,” Njerae said.

Since joining Bien on his Alusa Continua Tour, to playing her first show abroad in Bradford, England, during the Blankets & Wine UK Edition, to her Four Letter Word EP crossing 3.7M streams, Njerae is reflective, vulnerable, and assured in her femininity.
