Former Ethic Member Rekles Releases New Song “Ni Unblock”
Former Ethic member Rekles has released a song titled “Ni Unblock.” The song comes months after he split from his former group and features fast-rising artist Kiukenya.
On “Ni Unblock,” Rekles confronts his ex, urging them to get back together. He admits that he made a mistake and wants to make things right. Produced by Batoz Music Entertainment, the song features an upbeat instrumental that blends well with the sing-along hook and Rekles’ signature style.
The song was released along with an accompanying music video directed by Dollex. On Monday (January 8), Rekles teased “Ni Unblock” through an Instagram video captioned;

Rekles’ Departure From Ethic
Rekles, among the founding members of Ethic in 2018, left after five years. The group achieved massive success during their earlier years but was later rocked by issues. Together, they released a lot of hits, including “Lamba Lolo,” “Daktari,” “Pandana,” and “Thao,” to name a few.
After a tumultuous ride with the group, he officially left the group on August 26, 2023. Ethic Entertainment confirmed the news in a lengthy letter through their Instagram page.
Mapenzi Ya Nairobi
“Ni Unblock” is Rekles’ second single since the split and comes months after “Mapenzi Ya Nairobi,” featuring Mejja, released in November 2023.
