Nyashinski Releases Six-Song EP Good Old Days
Nyashinski, the GOAT, has released a six-song EP, Good Old Days. With little promo given to the project, he made two cryptic posts days apart on Instagram earlier this week. The posts featured only the artwork, title, and release date. This raised eyebrows about whether it was a song, EP, or album.

Good Old Days EP
Good Old Days follows the October 2023 single “Perfect Design,” which found him serenading his love interest. The six-song EP features “Time of My Life,” “Fly,” “Therapy,” “People,” “Utazoea (Symphony in F Sharp Minor)”, and “Time of My Life II.”
Sonically, it is consistent with the sound we are used to from his mellow singing side. Most of the songs are smooth and feature him singing, taking a break to trace his rapping roots on “Therapy.”
In “Time of My Life,” he features Bien. In the song he addresses his fans, claiming that Kenyans will get used to how things are. Further touching on the employment issue in Kenya, while boasting about his success.
In “People,” he addresses the dynamics of human beings given his celebrity status. He says that people speak a lot but don’t do enough. On “Therapy,” he raps about spoiling his fans and giving them a therapy session whenever he returns and releases new music.
The EP concludes with “Time of My Life 2,” with a different instrumental and the same chorus from “Time of My Life.”
Quiet 2023?
2023 was a relatively quiet year for Nyash. Still, looking at things closely, he did quite a bit, though a little musically, judging by what fans have become accustomed to.
In the roster of releases, he churned out “Beautiful” in June, “Good to Me” in July, and “Moment of Bliss” in August. While he is not the typical collaborating artist, judging by the number of collaborations he has featured on, he has excellent chemistry with Femi One. Later in the year, he was featured on Femi One’s “Under The Influence.”
In October, he gave a thrilling performance at Oktobafest, inviting on-stage surprise acts, including his former mates Kleptomaniax.
This year, he broke the silence by collaborating with Savara on “More Than A Friend,” an acoustic visual.
Good Old Days has arrived just in time, giving us even more to look forward to from him in the coming year. This release follows his trend of releasing playlists, which began with Therapy in 2022. For all the lyrics from this EP, keep checking Doba KE, and be sure to stream it on Spotify.
