Rising Kenyan rapper Saisa Ndabi is back with a new song, “SONGA.” The track wraps up a successful year for her, which saw her release “Kairetu,” “Kasi,” featuring Tulia, and “Stima,” featuring Alex Msafiri.

She appeared on several songs, including “Vipi Wasee” with the latter. To top it off, she starred in the YEA advertisement by Cooperative Bank.

Saisa has found her sweet spot throughout her career by blending hip-hop with Kenyan musical influences to create a unique sound. As a member of the SHRAP movement, her hard-hitting lyrics and melodious voice are her key strengths.

On “Songa,” she uses her signature style to create an empowering track focusing on self-empowerment, resilience, and the strong spirit needed to overcome negativity and challenges.

With her PR and marketing background, she has skillfully harnessed her storytelling skills to create music that resonates deeply with her fanbase and listeners.

“Songa” is the lead single from her upcoming debut album, Mambo Right. It is produced by K Six Beats and mixed and mastered by Aress 66. It is impressive that she has two of the most sought-after producers working with her on the album’s lead single.

A bold and clear message is displayed at the beginning of the Calis-directed music video. The message states:

The vibrant “Fix your damn crown” music video follows Saisa as she tells stories about facing life’s challenges. Through words and hard-hitting rhymes setbacks and struggles, she straightens her metaphorical crown, symbolizing resilience and the unwavering strength found within.

“SONGA” urges listeners to “fix their crowns” and keep moving despite life’s adversities. In simpler terms, the song depicts Saisa’s lyrical prowess and dedication to her craft.
