KRG Releases Highly Anticipated Song “Time Bomb”
KRG The Don, alias Bughaa, has finally released the “Time Bomb” music video. The song featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Konshens has been teased since December 2023.
During his East African tour stop in Kenya, Konshens was spotted with KRG multiple times. This led to fans speculating about a collaboration. This was later confirmed when Bughaa posted a clip of the duo in the studio with the caption,
“Anzeni Kadanse coz hii ni mbaya kama kuzimu #Bughaaa x #Konshens @konshens 👊💯 Msanii wa Gova Alooooooh”
A day later (December 19), KRG confirmed that plans to shoot the music video were underway, and the video would be shot in Nairobi the next day.
KRG Relationship with Konshens
While this is the first time the two work together on a song, KRG and Konshens have a great relationship. During his past shows in Kenya, they have often been spotted hanging out.
“Time Bomb” Listening party
On January 6, KRG took to his Instagram to announce a listening party on January 10 from 1900hrs.
The listening party would finally be held on Wednesday (January 10). It included Langata MP Jalango, Jaguar, Mungai Eve, Terence Creative, Bensoul, Cassypool, DJ Lyta, 2mbili, Dj Gaza King, and Cindy K, just to name a few.
Snippets were shared online, and later, KRG posted photos of the event to his IG page while teasing its Friday 10:00 AM drop.
Time Bomb Drops
Today, Friday (January 12), at 10:00 AM, KRG posted the “Time Bomb” music video to his YouTube channel to much fanfare.
The dancehall song has a feel-good party vibe and is a timely release, especially with the beckoning weekend. KRG holds his own in the first verse, and Konshens—no stranger to delivering—comes clutch in his verse in a great dancehall song.
“Time Bomb” follows March 2023’s “Mambo Imechemka,” which featured Daddy Andre and Dufla, and continues to set the pace in what clearly appears to be a great year for Kenyan music.
