Octopizzo Opens Ancestral Museum in Siaya
Octopizzo finally opened the Onyango Ohanga Museum in his village of Siaya as part of his family’s legacy. Octo has been in the music industry since 2009 and in the mainstream since 2011 and has achieved significant success.
His music has given his fans a glimpse into his family life. Additionally, his family is often featured in his social media posts, and his daughter Tracy made cameos in his earlier music videos such as “Blackstar” and “On Top.” Circa 2012, he released “Mama,” a song dedicated to his late mother. In the song, he speaks about the death of both his parents;
2O2 (2002), nikapoteza buda
2O3 (2003), nikapoteza matha
Uchungu niliskia hakuna mtu angeonja ladha
15 years of age, first born na ni orphan
Hustle hard, heritage naingia Morgan
As a multifaceted Kenyan artist, Octo puts culture and music at the center stage. From collaborations with culturally diverse artists to holding the Gweng Festival, Octopizzo promotes and appreciates cultural growth. In fact, culture and music are the driving forces behind Octopizzo’s artistic endeavors.
Octopizzo’s First Museum
Growing up in Kibera and living there as a young adult, Octopizzo opened his first house as a museum. During his appearance in an Iko Nini Podcast episode, he spoke about the museum, which he charges a $30 entry fee. The museum contains the original possessions he had at the time.
The Onyango Ohanga Museum
Octopizzo has been teasing people about the museum’s opening with occasional pictures on his social media pages. The official opening ceremony was held on 28th December 2023.

Furthermore, the ceremony was held by his family and included guests. The museum, on the other hand, is aimed at contributing to cultural preservation and the storytelling narrative.

Today, the 8th of January 2024, Octopizzo took to his Instagram to post pictures with captions that read:
