Sabi Wu Releases "Nyamaza" Music Video

Kilimani-based rapper Sabi Wu had a remarkable year in 2023. After a 9-month hiatus from the music scene, he returned and released two albums in the same year. His fifth studio album, Freedom (ranked number 5 in our Top 10 Albums of the Year), was followed by Freedom II, which included the high-energy bop “Nyamaza.”

“Nyamaza” features Korb$, Ouma Wa Mafegi, Mr. K (formerly Mi$taK), and Kig$ with whom Sabi has collaborated frequently. Produced by Luigi, the track has a heavy bass trap sound with catchy lyrics from the hook to the verses. On the chorus, Sabi Wu croons,

When the bosses speak buda boss unanyamaza
I see what he did, he a snake nikanyamaza
Stackin’ up the bread up, ka nimenyamaza
When I’m up you hit up ayy, bado ntanyamaza

The music video, shot by Alvin in collaboration with Cap, Sabi Wu, Korb$, and Mr. K, shows their hands-on approach to their craft. They are involved in all aspects of their projects, both sonically and visually.

The track features bravado and swagger, with the four showcasing their lyrical prowess and fire delivery. Korb$ and Ouma bring their signature styles, seamlessly blending with Sabi Wu’s verse, while Mr. K and Kig$ make a bold entrance, proving their mettle alongside the seasoned collaborators.
